Piercing

hygiene is of the utmost importance

I became a piercer by building up a portfolio on willing volunteers whom I am very grateful to and I got my license in Sept 2008.

In my time I've had ear, lip, tongue, nipple, navel and clit piercings done so I know how it feels and I try to minimize the discomfort to customers by using a blade needle piercing system (instead of cannula piercing which is generally done in this country) this is smoother through the hole and makes for faster healing times and less discomfort from the piercing. I never use guns as they are not sterile and do a lot of tissue damage to the ear.

Cleanliness is everything and I make sure that all the equipment that I use is clean and sterile to minimize the risk of infection. I use only high quality titanium or bio-plast 100% nickel free jewellery for piercings; although we do sell surgical steel and plastic jewellery for healed piercings. I am always happy to order specialist pieces of jewelry for clients and have a range of catalogues at the shop that can be browsed at leisure.

I only body pierce on people 16+ except for ears which I will do from the summer holidays before a child starts secondary school. To try to fit in with school requirements I only pierce under 16's ears during school holidays. All under 16's must have a parent or guardian present when they are pierced. I will not do other body piercings on under 16's even with parental consent -so don't ask, as refusal often offends!

I love working at the studio in Broughton because it is such a good environment to pierce in - it is very clean and comfortable, the studio is custom built so everything is to hand and I think it is very reassuring for clients because from the moment they walk in they know that this is a clean professional studio. As well as traditional piercings I also do ear expansion, scaffolding, corrective piercings (for inverted nipples) and skin divers; please feel free to contact the studio for more details.
